Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne 2002 Medallion Jeroboam in 24 Carat Gold is one of only 400 made in the world of which 200 have now been released. Each has its own Limited Edition number. This creation, using highly technical prowess is based on advanced know-how inspired by the greatest traditions of jewellery. An exceptional, unique gift.
Roederer’s emblematic medallion is composed of a light, protective 24-carat latticework. The 2002 cuvée is a jewel, revealing its many facets in the shimmering reflections from this sensual, timeless, powdered gold armour. Each medallion bottle is 100% hand-crafted taking four days of work by two master goldsmiths.
Made from seven hundred metres of brass tape dipped in 24 carat gold with over five hundred and eight silver-weld points. All the exceptional characteristics of the 2002 vintage have literally been captured in this 2002 Cristal, which is generous and lush, revealing perfect balance between concentration and finesse, freshness and vinosity, intensity and refinement. In three words: proud, rich and luxurious.
‘When it came to designing this Cristal Jeroboam, all I could think of was the light of the wine protected in a clear bottle that was imposing due to its size. No shadows on the bottle, only reflections from a “sun”. From this idea emerged that of a delicate lattice, like a jewel against the skin. Medallion links encasing the surface of the glass to create a precious, unique setting for each movement.’
